About me

I was born and raised in Rome, Italy where I lived until I was 19. At this age I started travelling and wanting to discover what was ‘out-there’.

Mi historia

  • I was born and raised in Rome, Italy where I lived until I was 19. At this age I started travelling and wanting to discover what was ‘out-there’, I studied, worked and lived in magical Prague for 10 years graduating at the film & TV academy (FAMU) and then working in the business for several years.

  • After a wonderful life-worthy experience in Vancouver (Canada), where I have discovered the power and beauty of leaving in a community where people share the same values and learned what it means to be committed to respecting and preserving this planet, which hosts us and provides for us in so many different ways.

When I was almost 30 I moved back to Rome.

  • I became a mother in 2005 and since then I chose not to go back to the stressful pace of the film industry. That is when yoga came into my life! Now I know, it happened then ‘cause I was ready for it at that point.

  • In 2007 I met my first Jivamukti teacher: Yogeswari. I heard a yoga sutra for the first time and was mesmerized: YOGASH CITTAVRTTI NIRODAH YSI.II ‘Yoga (union) is the cessation of identification with the fluctuations of the mind.’ It was all I needed to know!

  • Since then I felt a strong desire to deepen my practice and my knowledge of this philosophy. As my teachers always say: ‘when the student is ready, the teacher appears.’ And so it has been for me.

  • Two years later Sharon Gannon and David Life held a workshop in Rome, since then I walked the Jivamukti path until 2011 when I was blessed with the opportunity to attend the JIVAMUKTI TEACHER TRAINING course with my beloved gurus. One whole month of incredible work, joy, laughter, sweat…and tears.

  • It has been a life changing experience at several different levels. Walking the path of liberation is possible HERE & NOW.

  • It has been a life changing experience at several different levels. Walking the path of liberation is possible HERE & NOW.

Since my graduation as a Jivamukti teacher I taught in Rome and its area while traveling to India to deepen my studies also in other yoga institutions such as Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Neeyar Dam South India. Assisted advanced Jivamukti teachers and assisted during a workshop Sharon Gannon held in Rome in 2012 for the presentation of her book ‘ Yoga & Vegetarianism. The diet of Enlightement.’

  • In March 2016 I passed the Advanced Board Examination and obtained the Jivamukti Board Advanced Certification.

David Life, Sharon Gannon, Yogeswari, Cat-Alip Douglas, Nieves Gobbo, Susan Desmerais. My first teachers: my parents. My daughter Verena for being my mirror, for her constant support and for the light she shines, her father and brotherly friend Gianluigi Gualtieri for constantly believing in me and helping me in many ways, my beloved friend and colleague Jutta-Arianne Mele Maurer…for being the best companion on this journey. Special thanks to my friend Josune Garcia for her guidance and support and patience.

Eternal gratitude for every single student who shows up on the mat.

To my friends for providing the love and acceptation I so longed for during many years.. for those who see the good in me when I cannot, for those who hurt me, too.

My gratitude to all the teachers in my life…those who are visible and close, those who are far… and those yet to come. Infinite gratitude to my spiritual teacher Rudra-ji (Diego) who provides me with guidance, enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the yogic Bhakti practices.

And finally my gratitude to God for this life I have been given: it has been a roller coaster, leading me at times in very dark places inside myself: I cherish every breath and wouldn’t change a thing. NAMASTE.

Accepting our own limited capacity and keeping in mind that other, just like ourselves, are doing the best they can in any given situation will help us cultivate feelings of compassion and forgiveness, which will propel us towards enlightenment.

The famously difficult Jivamukti method has demanded unbending devotion to asanas and scriptures from celebrities and lean-bodied New Yorkers since the Eighties.

How do you stay still? How do you find stillness in a world that’s constantly changing and moving? Look at what the planet does. It spins on its axis, and it moves it moves through space at some incredible velocity in big circles around the sun, and it’s also wobbling. How do you find stillness there in that kind of environment? You look past the outer differences to the inner essence where you will find stillness.

Happiness is your nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.
